Happy Birthday Makell

Makell had her ninth birthday on December 23rd. I can't believe how fast time flies! It seems like just yesterday that we brought her home on Christmas Eve. Makell is always nice to those around her and she is constantly thinking of others. I love that Makell is a "neat freak" even from a small baby she had to have things organized and clean. Which makes it easy as a mom because her room is always clean! We are so thankful that she is a part of our family. We love you Makell!!
We had a "family" party for Makell the night of her birthday. Most of Stan's side of the family came. She recieved a lot of nice things and as always had fun with her cousins. (For some reason Conner is always involed in the candle lighting!)

I asked Makell what she got for her birthday so that I could write about it, but she couldn't remember! I guess that's what happens when your birthday is mixed in with all the Christmas excitement. Finally after some thought she remembered that we gave her some clothes, earrings, a new coat, and a webkin. She loves stuffed animals so of course her favorite was her webkin.

The Friday before Makell's birthday we had a "friend" party for her. They played the game "would you rather", hence the silly made up faces! The girls played outside in the snow for hours. In fact I had to call all of the moms and ask if they could stay longer because they were having so much fun out in the blizzard.

Rub-a-dub-dub

Brianna, Makell, and Kaylee love bathing in the "big" tub. Notice all the bubbles and water on the outside of the tub!! And Stan thought we were going to have a bathroom that the children wouldn't use.

A BIG MOMENT

About two months ago Kaylee's therapist mentioned to me that she had noticed that Kaylee wouldn't construct anything....legos, lincoln logs, playdough, etc. I have been working on this pretty much everyday for the past two months and finally last night she started sticking magnetics together!!! She would stick the little ball to the stick thing and then look at it like wow did I really do that and then she continued pulling it apart and sticking it back together and adding more to it! We were all clapping everytime she did it, so she would clap and clap whenever she put more together. It was really cute. I was kind of a big moment at our house. She continues to amaze us everyday with her speech. Saturday she started saying "Bri" for Brianna and then yesterday when the bus came to get Brianna she looked out the window and said "Bus" really plain. Hopefully she will continue progressing this fast.

Opening presents

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Yesterday was Kaylee's third birthday. I can't believe she is already three! We all laughed watching her open her first present because she just kept laughing and laughing. It was really funny. Later that night we had a little party for her. She had fun and enjoyed all the things everyone gave her. After she had a minor meltdown and everyone had left she got her second wind thanks to Cameron. She loves riding on his shoulders and chasing the other kids around. I don't think she was breathing most of the time because she was laughing so hard. It was a great way to end her birthday. We are so thankful Kaylee is a part of our family. We love you Kaylee and can't imagine our family without you!

Lost and still not found

I really hate to lose things! I have been searching every drawer, cupboard, and unpacked box ( I know it's been three months) and I still can't find my camera case which has my camera cord and a memory stick full of pictures in it. So needless to say, no pictures. I think I will blame it on my children.....I'm sure one of them lost it!

I am officially a blogger!

I am still trying to figure this whole blog thing out so I don't have any pictures yet. I love being able to stay in touch with family that lives far away so I thought I would share a little bit of our lives also. Hopefully next time I will have some pictures to go along with my ramblings......
